I thought the Quantitative Analysis would be useful, people have often asked me what kind of article the magazines have, so I thought it might be a nice overview. Now though, I'm wondering if it was a great use of my time while writing the article - doubtless a professional editor might have steered me clear!

@Steve - I did go into the theme in the 'Breakdown' section, but didn't really see it as a drawback. Granted if you don't like the theme, it probably crosses off a good half of the normal articles. Out of six issues, I think only one of the themes (Ancients) wasn't that interesting to me

Thanks
DonoghDonoghhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03575126069082006284noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5739452399366306422.post-52832962677010295242012-04-25T13:19:04.743+01:002012-04-25T13:19:04.743+01:00An interesting article...

BG has always been -- and will probably remain -- a subscription-only magazine, since the up-front costs for getting onto the shelves at WH Smiths are prohibitive. Clever Jasper at Karawansaray knew what he was doing when he negotiated for the WSS name, because that was already registered with WH Smiths and enabled them to get straight onto the shelves without all the hassle.

WSS and BG are, as you rightly say, distinctly different in their outlook and as far as I'm concerned, vive la difference! i'm sure that Jasper and Guy are as pleased as I am that you enjoy both titles.

HenryHenry Hydehttp://henrys-wargaming.co.uknoreply@blogger.com
